Grounded in evidence-based leadership frameworks and informed by the lived realities of institutional GME and academic medicine leaders, the Institutional GME Executives Leadership Development Program is designed to support you in navigating the strategic and operational complexities of executive-level GME leadership.

Who Should Attend?

GME leaders, with up to three years’ experience in an Institutional GME leadership role, who are responsible for the institutional oversight of GME at their institution including: designated institutional officials, GME deans, vice presidents for academic affairs, GME directors, and others. While the Institutional GME Executives Leadership Development Program is designed for those newer in their institutional roles, experienced and aspiring leaders are welcome to participate if the curriculum aligns with their leadership development goals.

What to Expect

This program provides a structured, applied learning experience that connects executive-level content directly to the demands of your role. You will engage in facilitated dialogue, case-based discussion, and strategic reflection alongside peers who understand the scope and pressures of institutional GME leadership.

Throughout the program, you will:

  • Strengthen your executive presence by leading with greater intentionality, credibility, and influence
  • Enhance your capacity to manage people, talent, and enterprise-level resources across the GME continuum
  • Develop deeper executive fluency in GME finance, legal frameworks, and regulatory environments
  • Build confidence in leading institutional change and navigating system-level complexity
  • Refine your approach to advancing GME strategy, innovation, and institutional advocacy

By the conclusion of the program, you will have sharpened your strategic perspective, expanded your executive toolkit, and strengthened your readiness to lead GME within increasingly complex institutional environments.
